Notice: Delayed Payment Queue for Green Energy Grant Program

There is currently a residential delayed payment queue of more than 12 months for the Delmarva Power & Light Green Energy Rebate Program.  Please be aware that this payment queue continues to grow as we are receiving an unprecedented number of applications for rebate incentives.  The Department (DNREC) is currently conducting a comprehensive review and evaluation of the program to identify ways to improve program processes and sustain the program to provide appropriate incentives for renewable energy systems in Delaware.

Note that this delay is only for Delmarva Power customers who are installing a residential system. This delay also only applies to the Green Energy Grant Program, not the SEU SREC Purchase Program. The SEU Program currently does not have a payment queue; payments will be sent out shortly after application verification.

Changes in Required Documentation for Grant Program

Over the past several months, DNREC has made a few changes to the documentation required to receive a Green Energy Fund Grant. All Part 2 applications now require a photo of the completed renewable energy system. This photo will be uploaded to the online portal at the same time as all the other documents. Secondly, DNREC no longer requires a copy of the system’s warranty or a copy of building inspection approval documents for any type of system.
